ohh.. the sticky glue trap..actually best if, like you say, get some chloroform or something to knock it out.. then dash its brains out.. that's the fastest...

BBQ... possum... Are we having BBQ Possum?! Do I get to 'meet' your Possum as in Possum Steak?!

You're so fantastic, always organising get-togethers for us! I think it's now Total Fire Ban though, no? I think if we BBQ at this time, your neighbours might give us hostile stares... Last night, one of the bushfires was raging out of control.

Don't worry, we are not having BBQ possum.

Total fire ban only applies on an extremely hot and windy day so as long as we don't pick a hot and windy day for the BBQ we should be ok.

Sigh, I hope we get some of the rain they have in Queensland and NSW to put out the fires....

The death toll is now 208.

I saw images of the 'out of control' bushfire in the SouthEast... very frightening!

honeymouse SG

Haha so cute

Is it still hiding from you guys or does it take food from you now and allow you to touch her?

We try not to feed her. Just let her find her own food at night. We don't dare to get too close to her as she may bite. But hubby went and touched her tail yesterday as it was dangling down. I was so tempted to pull it!!

If you see my facebook photo, that's exactly where she is at the moment as she can't get into the wall after we blocked it. She must be so desperate for shelter that she is happy to sleep in the "open". Guess she knew we won't harm her.

Rhonda SG

Aww... looks like you have all reached a happy compromise!

the Bear SG

put a box for her?

and give her small slices of apple as a gift so that she learns that you mean no harm..

honeymouse SG

Does she still make all those loud noises on your rooftop and wake you and mousehubby up?

No, we haven't heard her make noise at night since we came home. It might be that we are too tired. Anyway, since her "home" is near the front door, she doesn't need to walk on the section of the roof above our bedroom as the bedroom is at the back of the house.

honeymouse SG

Not quite happy yet as I am not sure what to do with the mess she makes on the wall.

We did that a while ago after we blocked the hole into the wall. She doesn't like it. We even left some fruits in it. She ate the fruits but just didn't want to live in it.

kopiosatu SG

hmmm dbs website can't load

somebody hacking into it?

Haiz... that one's quite a headache.

Why not construct a little 'kennel' for her? And then slowly, inch-by-inch, move the cage further and further away from your house...

Rhonda SG

Hunny, you were talking about the Kuching Museum, did you and mousehubby take photos of the exhibits inside?

I'd love to make it to Korea someday and visit the famous Teddy Bear Museum. They have the famous bears used in Princess Hours displayed there! I'm eternally grateful to Pinky for recommending Princess Hours to me.

Yes, hubby did take some photos. We will show you next time you come around.

I know you have been wanting to go to Korea..... I didn't know there's a Teddy Bear Museum there. Interesting.

When I was back in Brunei, my sister and I were discussing about planning a trip to Taiwan together. We want to try out the food as shown on TV... looks yummy!

Oooh! You can show me the photos on your large-screen plasma TV!

Yeah... I want to visit Japan and Korea. And also Europe before the great floods destroy it, and La Tour d'Eiffel before it crumbles...

Rhonda SG

Hunny, do you and mousehubby intend to attend any of the Food and Wine Festival events? A few of them sound very interesting...

Rhonda SG

Where's Satan Girl? I like her beary much.

Haven't thought about it as it doesn't appeal to me. They can be expensive too...

They have the cheaper ones in Federation Square.

Someday, when I'm more established here and have like-minded foodie friends, I'd love to enjoy dinner sessions during the festival. Think a few fine-dining restaurants have dégustation menu specially for the festival.
